December 22 My engagementSo, since it's been awhile since I last blogged, I'm going to talk a bit about the latest events in my life. Chris and I got engaged the day before our 10 year anniversary. The day started out with us going out to celebrate our upcoming anniversary. Chris took me first to Supercuts for a new, cheap 'do and then out to a matinee showing of Paprika. I was super excited about the movie, as we rarely get to see any anime in theatres. Then he headed over to The Keg, for a romantic dinner filled with steak. Mmmm... The meal was fantastic. I ordered the usual, teriyaki steak dinner (steak, baked potato with all the trimmings and a ceasar salad). We also had the warm, delicious bread. The bread was served to us in a little bread basket, kept warm by a napkin. As we were eating, the bread ran out so Chris requested an extra basket of bread. That is slightly unusual, as we usually just have the one, but hey, I love the bread, so I wasn't going to question anything. When the bread arrived, Chris asked me to butter him a piece. Now, I was in full on eating mode. I had my steak knife in one hand, and a fork in the other, so I wasn't wanting to stop the fine dining process, in fact, I recall thinking, "Why can't you butter your own bread?!", but, since he was paying, I thought better of it and went for the basket. As I pulled back the napkin, there sat the most beautiful blue box I've ever seen. Tiffany's. Wow. I went into shock. I quickly put the napkin over the basket and shoved it away. Then, slowly, I pulled it back to myself, lifted the napkin, shook my head, and pushed it away again. I believe I was laughing/crying and saying, "Noooo...no. No way...nope...so soon?" over and over. Poor Chris just sat there watching me go crazy. I really thought I had another 5 years before anything like this would happen. Then, I started thinking to myself that maybe, just maybe it was a nice watch in the little blue box. Yes! A watch! I lifted the box out of the bread basket. It was very heavy. Maybe it was a watch. I slowly undid the beautiful white ribbon and pulled out the box inside. It was not a watch box. I lifted the lid...and started to cry. Inside that velvety black box sat the loveliest ring I had ever seen. Chris then came over beside me and asked if I would marry him, and finally, I said, "Yes!".
It's been a long time...So, I'm thinking about starting this blog up again. I don't know what I'm going to write about. I think it'll be a combination of my life experiences and my favourite celeb gossip. :) Of course I'll also talk alot about my kitties. I'm kind of glad to be back, but I'm going to take this slow...as it's been a long time...
Meow! =^..^= November 23 Hitler's TwinsLynx and Lamb Gaede, 13, are twin pop stars from California. Oh, and they are Nazi supporters.
Supposedly, they have had offers from unnamed Australian promoters to come to Australia for a concert.
"Yes, we have many fans in Australia now like the rest of the world," Lamb Gaede told The Sunday Mail.
"Just last week we were contacted about doing some shows in Australia and we are considering it." Premier Peter Beattie doesn't believe the twins would attract a crowd in a multicultural state such as Queensland and neither does Gold Coast Rabbi Uri Themal, a Holocaust survivor, who said the Jewish community would be outraged if the twins were allowed to perform.
"The Jewish community, which suffered more than any other community under Nazi persecution, would not welcome any expression by anyone of Nazi ideology or their messages," he said "It's particularly offensive if that comes in the form of children who were obviously raised in that ideology and come here with the full intention of not just performing that message but turning that horrendous human crime into show business." The Family Council of Queensland president Alan Baker agreed. "While their offensive views are to be deplored, the fault lies not with them so much as with their parents who have perverted them with racist ideology and exploited them for commercial gain," he said. The name of their group is Prussian Blue, and they often play at rallies in the US for the Ku Klux Klan. While performing, they wear white T-shirts with huge smiley yellow faces that sport Hitler moustaches. Their songs feature antisemitic and racist lyrics. The twins' website has links to various right-wing groups around the world.
They were on Dateline, and here are some main notes about the girls:
*They don't believe the holocaust happened. They believe it was propoganda and exaggeration.
*They made care packages for the victims of Katrina, but they could only go to white people.
*Their grandfather has a cattle ranch, and his registered brand is a swastika.
*They think Hitler was a great man.
Their dad apparently said that when he and his wife seperated, she (the mother) started brainwashing them...
They currently have a Music Video/Concert DVD out called : Prussian Blue- Blond Hair, Blue Eyes.

This is such a huge money making scheme...and it's so disgusting and sad. :p November 15 Elle Pics on FlickrHi everyone! There are some new Work in Progress Elle pics on Flickr.

November 03 Kids in the Hall on Lilo and StitchOoooh man, what a great day to watch t.v.! Today on Lilo and Stitch, the cast of Kids in the Hall were the special guests. Kevin McDonald is a regular cast member playing Mr. Wendy Pleakley...the alien in drag. :) He's so hilarious, and it was great hearing the rest of the cast playing his family. Oh what fun!! I laughed a lot. :D
"The episode "Fibber: Experiment 032" features guest appearances by the members of the cast of "The Kids in the Hall" (1988) as Pleakley's family. When the family leaves at the end of episode, Pleakley's mother tells her son to refrain from wearing women's clothes, which was a trademark of The Kids in the Hall."
Quote from Pleakley's Mother: "Try wearing men's clothes more often!"
Attentive viewers may notice Pleakley consistently dresses in women's clothing even while relaxing at home, and dressing in full drag while out among the humans. He is frequently referred to as Lilo's "aunt" by her friends. In particular, during the Stitch movie, it is implied Pleakley has actually bought a girdle despite his unconvincing denial, since it is technically underwear and thus useless for his normal disguise. He wrote his thesis on Earth sports, which was full of errors and he obviously got a bad grade on, and was the best student in his sewing class (which he says he took only as an elective; "It was that or woodshop.") Also, his actual first name is Wendy, which on his planet means "brave warrior". The cross-dressing itself is most likely a coincidental reference to Kevin's performances on Kids in the Hall, when he himself played the roles of many women in a Elizabethan era-like way.
Lazy TownI am so addicted to Lazy Town...a show for children. Maybe it's the bright colours, maybe it's the over-the-top acting...maybe it's the puppets, or trhe characterr Robbie Rotten, the laziest super villian around who seems to have gone to the Jim Carrey school for acting. Oh wait, I know what it is...the ADDICTING music. I am TOTALLY buying the cd.
The main character is Stephanie, the 8 year old with bright pink hair. She sings all of the songs...which really remind me of Aqua...hey. even her bright hair reminds me of Aqua. The other characters are:
Robbie Rotten (laziest super villian), Sporatacus (the athletic super hero, who in real life is a professional athlete), Pixel (the puppet who loves his video games and technology), ZIggy (who loves candy), Stingy ( who doesn't like to share) and Trixie (who breaks rules all the time).
"LazyTown is a mix of CGI, live action, and puppetry used to tell lively stories that encourage children to develop good eating habits and physical fitness. The series employs music and comedy to demonstrate the importance of movement, whether it's sports and outdoor play or dancing."
Oh yea, and it's addicting and great :)
These are the lyrics of the song that they sing and dance to at the end of each show.
Bing Bang
Bing bang diggiriggidong First thing that I say after I wake up. Bing bang diggiriggidong I say those words before I go to sleep. Get on up it's time to dance yeah. It's so much fun being up on our feet. So we go Up up -- do the jump Move around and clap your hands together. Down down -- turn around Having fun is what it's all about. Bing bang diggiriggidong Funny words I sing when I am dancing. Bing bang diggiriggidong Silly words that can mean anything. Get on up it's time to dance yeah. It's so much fun being up on our feet. So we go Up up -- do the jump Move around and clap your hands together. Down down -- turn around Having fun is what it's all about. Ooohh One two -- me and you, Move around and clap your hands together. Three four -- on the floor, Having fun is what it's all about. September 29 Hilary Duff fights ObesityHilary Duff is helping kids fight obesity by creating a radio PSA.
"Even though I spend an hour in the makeup chair before each show, that alone isn't going to make me look good," the singer says in the upbeat radio message. "All the makeup in the world can't make up for poor nutrition. ... I have to stay fit and eat right because, hello! What goes inside is going to eventually show on the outside."
Hilary Duff recorded two versions and mentions the "virtues of healthy snacks such as fruits or vegetables, "because they love me as much as I love them," as well as eating well-balanced meals. She tells listeners they'll be able to find what they're looking for in the nutritionist-planned meals available at public school cafeterias, which is "like having your own private chef watching your diet." Over To You Now
Enjoy! September 16 Britney's BabyBritney and Kevin claim to be "ecstatic" over the birth of their new baby boy Sean Preston.
"We are ecstatic to announce the birth of our son! Everyone is happy, healthy and doing wonderful. Thank you for all your love and well wishes!!"
Sean Preston weighed in at 6 pounds, 11 ounces...which means the rest of Britney was just food fat. He was born with a full head of "dark, curly hair", and Momma Spears has begun breastfeeding.
Britney arrived at UCLA at 5am under police escort with hubby KFed, her mother and sister Jaime Lynn showed up about an hour and a half later.
Her stay at the hospital was $20, 000/night- including her $3000/night room, a tented balcony, and an additional seven rooms on the floor for her family and security. She also have a private chef in the kitchen adjacent to her suite, so she could have whatever she requested.
Her C-section scar is "very small, and very low", so Britney will be sure to be wearing belly baring tops and low riding jeans. *whew*
September 15 Random PicsHere are some pics. We have some Kate Hudson shopping...and looking like a skeleton. We have some Lohan sporting a new 'do. A pic of Nicole in her sweats...and ya, good times. :) Debra Messing Nip SlipYikes, not the prettiest nip slip I've ever seen...but here it is. (This is for you Ryan) ;) Jessica Simpson - Fired UpJessica Simpson is in the studio with Scott Storch working on a song called "Fired Up", which is to be her single off her new album. Scott Storch is also working with Paris Hilton on her upcoming album too...
Anywho, one source says that she wanted the video to look "slutty and hot", and that she didn't want to always be the "virginal wife". The source says that "she wants to be on top of the sexiest polls, wanted by all the men's magazines, lusted by guys the world over." She then went on to say she wanted the video to be sexier and hotter then Britney's Slave 4 U. She also was thinking about making two versions, one for day, and one for night.
Scott says:"This is Jessica's very own Dirrty."
Apparently for the song, the recorded lots of samples of her moaning and breathing for the background.
Another interesting thing is that she is also considering becoming just "Jessica" and dropping her last name.
